IVF Success Rates
Our results, counted the honest way: babies born for every embryo transfer, shown for your age group and your treatment.
- Per embryo transfer
- By age, never one number
- Nothing left out
Our first results are being counted
We share results only once every transfer in a year is counted and checked, by age group and treatment, so they are a fair guide. Until then, the success predictor gives a personal estimate from published registry figures.
How we count
Six promises behind every number
A success rate is only as good as the way it is counted. This is how we count ours, so you can trust what you read.

Per embryo transfer
Every transfer counts, including the ones that did not work. That is the fairest way to share results.

A pregnancy seen on the scan
A clinical pregnancy is one seen on the ultrasound, a few weeks after the transfer, not just a positive test.

A baby born
A live birth is what every family is hoping for. Twins count as one birth, as they do in every registry.

Counted by year
Births arrive about nine months after a transfer, so the newest year shows its pregnancies first and its births once all are counted.

Never from a handful
Below 20 transfers, one result can move a rate a long way. Then we say so, instead of showing a number.

Nothing left out
No patients left out, no single best clinic, and no one big headline number that hides your age group.
Comparing clinics
Four questions to ask about any success rate
Ours or anyone else's. The answers decide whether two numbers can be compared at all.
Per what?
A rate per cycle started, per egg collection or per transfer can be very different numbers for the same clinic. Ours is per transfer.
Which outcome?
A positive test, a pregnancy on the scan and a baby born are three different results. The one that matters most is a baby born.
Which ages?
Age changes the chances more than anything else. Always compare the same age group, never one overall figure.
How many?
A rate from a few dozen transfers can swing a lot from year to year. Look for the number of transfers behind it.
Please read: our results, not a promise
- These are our past results, not a promise or a prediction for any one person. Your own chances depend on your age, your history and your tests.
- Rates are live births per embryo transfer for the whole network, in the year the transfers took place. Births for the newest year may still be being counted.
- Results are shown only for groups with at least 20 transfers, because smaller numbers are not a fair guide.
- For a personal estimate, try our IVF success predictor, and talk it through with one of our specialists.
