Online consultation

What the online consultation is

It is a relaxed first conversation with a fertility specialist from our network, by video or phone, so you can talk from home. If you would rather meet in person, we can arrange it at a partner clinic near you. The aim is simple: to understand where you are today and what, if anything, you should do next.

Before you talk, a coordinator reads the reports you have sent, so the time is spent on your questions and not on paperwork. If you have no reports yet, that is fine. Working out which tests to have first is a very good reason to talk.

It is never a sales call. Sometimes the honest advice is to keep trying naturally for a few more months, or to see a different kind of doctor. When that is the case, you will hear it plainly. You will know the specialist's fee before anything is booked.

Is this for you

An online consultation is right if you

  • are just starting to wonder whether something might be wrong
  • have test results and are not sure what they mean
  • want to understand IVF, IUI or egg freezing before deciding anything
  • feel nervous about seeing a doctor and want to ask questions first
  • are comparing options and want an honest opinion

Before you send it

To get the most from it

  • Any test results you have, even older ones
  • How long you have been trying, and your usual cycle length
  • Any treatment you have had before, and how it went
  • A written list of your questions, so nothing is forgotten

Nothing to hand yet? Send your message anyway. We will tell you what is worth having.

How it works

What happens after you press send.

A person reads what you send before anyone calls you, and nothing is booked until you say yes. That part never changes.

  1. Step 1

    Send a short message

Tell us a little about yourself and attach any reports. It takes about a minute.

  2. Step 2

    We read everything first

A coordinator goes through your reports and matches you with the right specialist.

  3. Step 3

    Pick a time

Choose a video or phone slot that fits around your day. We tell you the fee first.

  4. Step 4

    Talk it through

Ask anything you like. You leave with a clear idea of your options and your next step.

Your questions

What people ask us about this.

If yours is not here, put it in your message or call us. A person will answer it properly.

01 How much does the online consultation cost?

The fee is set by the specialist and depends on who you see. We tell you the fee before anything is booked, and there is no obligation to start any treatment afterwards.

02 How long does the online consultation last?

Long enough to go through your situation and your main questions without rushing. If more time is needed, the specialist will suggest a follow-up and tell you the fee first.

03 Can I see the specialist in person instead?

Yes. Many people start online, but if you would rather meet face to face, we can arrange it at a partner clinic near you.

04 Do I need test reports before I talk to a specialist?

No. Reports help, but many people talk to us before they have had a single test. The specialist can tell you which tests are worth doing first.

05 Can my partner join the consultation?

Yes, and we encourage it. Both partners play a part in fertility, and hearing the same information together often makes decisions easier.

06 Will I be pushed into starting treatment?

No. The consultation is there to help you understand your options. Sometimes the right advice is to wait, to change something simple or to see a different specialist, and you will be told that honestly.

07 Who will I speak to?

A qualified specialist from our network who treats your kind of concern, chosen by a coordinator after reading your message and reports.
